- Carry out routine and reactive plumbing maintenance across the properties
- Repair and maintain water supply, drainage, sanitation, piping, taps, toilets, basins, showers, geysers, pumps, valves and related plumbing equipment.
- Identify and repair leaks, blockages, burst pipes, faulty valves and other plumbing faults.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential plumbing failures and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all plumbing work is completed efficiently and to the required standard.

Property & Tenant Support |
- Attend to plumbing faults and maintenance requests reported by tenants.
- Provide professional and efficient technical support to tenants and property management.
- Investigate plumbing complaints and determine the cause of faults.
- Minimise disruption to tenants and property operations when carrying out maintenance.
- Communicate maintenance requirements, findings and progress to the Property Manager or Facilities Manager.

Compliance & Health and Safety |
- Keep up to date with current plumbing regulations,standards and health and safety requirements applicable to the property’s plumbing systems.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with applicable legislation, building requirements and company procedures.
- Use tools, equipment and materials safely and correctly.
- Identify and report potential health, safety and environmental risks associated with plumbing systems.
- Maintain safe and clean work areas during and after maintenance activities.

Preventative Maintenance & Reporting |
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance according to the property’s maintenance plan.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, faults, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Report recurring faults and major electrical issues to management.
- Assist with budgeting and identifying electrical maintenance and replacement requirements.
- Recommend energy-saving opportunities and improvements where applicable.

Contractor Management |
- Supervise and coordinate external plumbing contractors when required.
- Verify that contractors comply with property procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant plumbing standards.
- Inspect completed plumbing work and report any defects, poor workmanship or non-compliance.
- Assist with obtaining quotations and evaluating plumbing maintenance and replacement requirements.
- Monitor contractor work to ensure quality, timelines and agreed specifications are met. Emergency preparedness and business continuity activities.

Emergency & Standby Duties |
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, leaks, burst pipes, blocked drains and equipment breakdowns.
- Participate in standby and after-hours call-outs where required.
- Assist during water supply interruptions, flooding, major leaks and planned shutdowns.
- Isolate water supplies and implement appropriate temporary measures during emergencies.
- Support the property team during emergency preparedness and business continuity activities.

Tools, Equipment & Stock Control |
- Maintain plumbing tools, equipment and machinery in good working condition.
- Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available for scheduled and reactive maintenance.
- Monitor plumbing-related stock and report shortages or replacement requirements.
- Use materials responsibly and minimise unnecessary wastage.

Quality & Customer Service |
- Ensure all plumbing repairs and installations are completed to a professional standard.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with tenants, contractors and property staff.
- Ensure maintenance requests are attended to within agreed response times.
- Follow up on completed work to confirm that plumbing issues have been resolved effectively.
